Synopsis

This book is told from 2 perspectives, both are 12 year old girls. One is told from the perspective of Skyler, who is a big fan of 12 year old superstar Ruby Rivera, who is the star of a hit TV show. The other is told from the perspective of Ruby Rivera who longs for normal life. One day, Skyler sneaks off to have a guided set tour of Ruby's show and gets locked in a closet with her. Things get odd when the 2 of them switch places. They decide to live the life of the other person for just 3 days. What happens next is a mixture of fun, weirdness, and more!

My Opinion

I really enjoyed this book! It explores how fame isn't all it appears, and it touches on real life problems that kids face. It also teaches how you should always be thankful for the life you have, as both Ruby and Skyler experience how the other persons life is not as easy as they thought. It is also packed with a ton of fun, humor, and surprises along the way!

Age Rating

I would recommend this book for ages 10 and up. It explores a 7th graders life, and it also has one of the characters experience divorce in her family, while the other characters father is not present at all. It also shows how the divorce affects the character at one point. It shows one character being unsure about who she is and wanting to impress everyone. It is a very entertaining and interesting book/concept, but it is meant for older kids!
